Traditional Buildings Health Check recently introduced a new service: our small building repairs schedule.
How a schedule of repairs can help you:
The schedule of building repairs can help members get quotes from potential building contractors which are easier to compare. However, this service is best suited to smaller repairs to your property.
We recommend that where works are larger or more complicated, or a higher level of specification is required that you consider employing a building professional (Architect or Chartered Building Surveyor).
How does the small repairs schedule service work?
If we've carried out a traditional building inspection and you've received your report, one of our building inspectors can meet with you to discuss the works you would like to undertake. Once you've agreed on the areas of repair, our team will produce a schedule of repair works for you. This schedule will summarise the repair works you wish to carry out at your traditional property and would like contractors to quote for. The repairs schedule then provides a simple document for you to issue to building contractors and obtain comparable quotes.
Who can produce a schedule of repairs:
We can undertake this service for our members for a small additional fee after your inspection report is completed.
The cost of the Small Repair Schedule will depend on the complexity of the works, but generally costs in the region of £50-£100.

You may want to appoint another independent expert to produce the repairs schedule for you or alternatively you might want to try producing one yourself. Members can download our template schedule of small repairs.
